Nathan Carey
Nathan has worked in technical support roles, as well as for the ISRC
implementing a standardised interface for smart cards in the SESAME access
control system.
Graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Systems Engineering.
His 4th Year Engineering Thesis worked with implementing an IETF standard
messaging system and analysis tool for the Intrusion Detection System
Snort, and the Syslog system logger.
After completion of his degree, he pursued work for the ISRC in Access
Control Systems and also developed draft Common Criteria Protection
Profiles for Intrusion Detection Systems.
Currently, he is completing a Research Masters Degree in Intrusion
Detection specialising in correlation of attack profiles, management of
IDS, and integration issues.
