AUUG Inc. Security Symposium
Australian Industry Group, Rooms 4 & 5, Conference Centre
Ground Floor, 20 Queens Road, Melbourne VIC 3004
Friday, 3rd November
Dear Colleague,
AUUG Inc. is proud to present the second AUUG Security Symposium. This annual event, held in November each year, allows AUUG members and others to keep up to date with the latest developments in computer security, and will cover both network and host based security issues.
The event is a one-day facilitated, interactive workshop with pre-established areas/topics of presentation and discussion. The 1999 AUUG Security Symposium, held in Sydney was very successful, due to the informal, collaborative atmosphere and the emphasis on practical solutions to real problems.
The speakers and topics have been selected to inform both the general IT community and IT security specialists on up to date aspects of security risks, system administration and defensive design. In addition, this is an excellent opportunity to meet with others who face the same security issues that you do, and engage in informal discussion.
To register for the event, please fill out the registration form and fax it to Liz Carroll on (02) 8824 9522. Alternately, call Liz on (02) 8824 9511 or 1800 625 655, or email her at <busmgr@auug.org.au>.
Hope to see you there,
Alan Cowie
